HARD BOILED WONDERLAND, 2005
René Zeh baut aus Fund- und Suchstücken sowie aus Zitaten des Alltagsleben, der Kunst-, Design- und Werbewelt raumgreifende Architekturinstallationen, die modellhaft das menschliche Grundbedürfnis individueller Verortung erproben - ganz körperhaft, Fragen des Wohnens und Reisens betreffend, aber auch intellektuell-mental, sich aus sozial-kulturellen Kontexten rekrutierend.
Ausgehend von den assoziativen Potentialen der Werkstoffe zappen die Arbeiten durch hybride, divergente Vorstellungsräume - durch räumliche Versuchsanordnungen, die, ob begehbar oder miniaturisiert, wenig heimelig daherkommen, obwohl sie aus den Bausteinen kollektiver Erlebniswelt erstellt wurden.
Was entsteht, sind keine utopischen Weltanordnungen, sondern vielmehr lustvolle (Kultur-)Robinsonaden, deren (un-)romantisch-utopisches Potential bereits in der Gegenwart angekommen ist und sich dort im banalen Alltag aufgelöst hat.

Which model-likely tests the human basic need of individual detection. – quite corporeal, concerning questions of living and travel, but also intellectual mentally, recruiting themselves from social cultural contexts.
Starting out from the associative potentials of the materials, the peaces are zapping through hybrid, divergent conception-areas, through spatial experimental adjustments, which, whether accessibly or miniaturized, don´t come alongcosy; Although they were made from the components of a collective world of experience.
What does arise, are no utopian world arrangements but (culture-) Robinsonaden rather full of relish, whose (un-) romantic- utopian potential already has arrived in the presence and has dissolved there in the banal everyday live.
